The Lifetime Readjustable System

Remeex Female is a system for the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence with the ability to adjust to each woman’s needs in the short and long term. Thanks to its precise adjustability, the surgeon can achieve continence in any patient.

It is especially recommended for women with non-hypermobile urethra, those suffering from Intrinsic Sphincteric Deficiency (ISD), or after a failed traditional sling procedure.

Lifetime adjustability

Remeex Female is the only long-term readjustable mesh. This prosthesis allows the urethral support of the sling to be readjusted as needed at any time in the patient’s life.

With more than 15 years of clinical follow-up, Remeex Female provides the surgeon with the ability to adjust the urethral support of the sling when the patient is standing and making all the efforts that lead to incontinence. This provides the long-term continence that other systems cannot offer, since the readjustment is made according to the efforts made by the patient and according to her needs.

The Remeex Female system is able to restore the dynamic pressure transmission system between the abdominal muscles and the urethra, thereby increasing the level of urethral support during stress incontinence.

Dynamic Pressure Transmission System

How does the Remeex Female and its Dynamic Pressure Transmission System work?

When coughing, laughing, etc. the patient advances the rectus abdominis muscles, tightening the system and providing the extra support the urethra needs at these times. This system allows the patient to regain the abdominal pressure transmission function (to maintain continence) that she had before she was incontinent.

The adjustment of the urethral support for each patient is done while the patient is standing and making the movements and efforts that cause incontinence. The adjustment of the sling is done step by step (checking the level of continence every three turns of the manipulator). When the patient is continent, we know that the system is providing the minimum urethral support necessary and no more, to avoid urinary retention, not uncommon with traditional mesh placement.
