The Remeex Male system is a long-term adjustable and readjustable mini sling, designed to provide precise and durable control of urethral support.

Thanks to its design, the surgeon can adjust the urethral support of the sling at any time throughout the patient’s life, adapting it to his clinical and functional needs.

The Remeex Male system in three easy steps:

1- Surgery: the prosthesis is implanted in the operating theatre without tension.

2- Post-operative adjustment: between 24h and 48h after the operation, the surgeon makes an adjustment of the mesh support. This adjustment is carried out with the patient standing up and making the efforts that make him/her lose urine. In this way, the necessary tension is achieved to achieve continence, avoiding urinary retention.

3- Re-Adjustment: The sling can be readjusted at any time, should the patient become incontinent again. Through a simple procedure, the surgeon can reconnect the manipulator that will allow him to readjust the level of support to regain continence.

Dynamic Pressure Transmission System

When coughing, laughing, etc. the patient advances the rectus abdominis muscles, tightening the system and providing the extra support that the urethra needs at these times. This system allows the patient to regain the abdominal pressure transmission function (to maintain continence) that he/she had before becoming incontinent.

The adjustment of the urethral support for each patient is done while the patient is standing and making the movements and efforts that cause incontinence. The adjustment of the sling is done step by step (checking the level of continence every three turns of the manipulator). When the patient is continent, we know that the system is providing the minimum urethral support necessary and no more, to avoid urinary retention, not uncommon with traditional mesh placement.
